'The Office' and 'Parks and Recreation' renewed for 2012-13, 'Up All Night' also coming back [Updated]

parks-and-rec-comeback-kid.jpg"The Office," "Parks and Recreation" and "Up All Night" will all be back on NBC next season.

The three comedies received orders for 2012-13 on Friday (May 11), the day after "Parks and Rec" and "The Office" finished their seasons -- and a day after several "Office" stars signed new deals for Season 9. They join fellow returnees "Community" and "30 Rock" and a host of new comedies in NBC's lineup next season.

"Parks and Rec" will get a 13-episode full 22-episode season. There's no word on the size of the orders for "Up All Night" and "The Office," but some have speculated NBC will order shorter seasons of more shows in hopes of keeping repeats to a minimum next season.

UPDATE: NBC has also somewhat surprisingly picked up "Whitney" for a second season. The network ordered only one multi-camera comedy pilot -- "Guys With Kids" -- to series, so it's possible those two will be paired up on the schedule.
