'The Choice' channels 'The Voice': Joe Jonas and The Situation pull their 'love handles' on new dating show
The two "Jersey Shore" mainstays will join rapper Romeo, model Tyson Beckford, pro football players Rob Gronkowski and Ndamukong Suh, singer Joe Jonas and more as celebrities vying for "love" (at least according to the press release) on the new FOX dating show, which premieres June 7 at 9 p.m.
Cat Deeley hosts as the celebrity bachelors -- and one episode with celebrity bachelorettes like Carmen Electra -- pick their dates based on their voices.
Here's how it works: The episodes begin with four celebs sitting in rotating chairs a la "The Voice." In this initial "Blind Round," each celebrity can only use his suitors' voices to make "The Choice." When the celebrity bachelor likes what he hears, he pulls his "love handle," spinning his chair around. If more than one celebrity pulls the handle, they must battle it out for her affection until the non-famous dater gets "The Choice." Once each bachelor has his team of three women, they enter the "Speed Choice" round, where each woman has to convince her man she's worthy. Nice.
