'Smash': Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty on their Broadway ambitions and a sneak peek at the Season 1 finale

megan-hilty-katharine-mcphee-smash-nbc.jpgViewers will find out who replaces Rebecca Duvall (Uma Thurman) on Monday's (May 14) Season 1 "Smash" finale, but in the meantime, NBC has both of the potential Marilyn Monroes -- Katharine McPhee, who plays Karen, and Megan Hilty, who plays Ivy -- letting us in on what real-life Broadway roles they'd like to tackle.

"There's two," says Hilty, who's already played Glenda in "Wicked" and Doralee in the short-lived "9 to 5." "I want to be Mrs. Lovett in 'Sweeney Todd,' and I want to be the Witch in 'Into the Woods.'"

McPhee, however, is more interested in an original production.

"It has to be written," she says. "Hopefully someone out there is writing a brilliant show I can be a part of in the future."

Check out the interview below along with sneak-peek clips from the "Smash" Season 1 finale, which includes a shocking confession from Ellis (Jaime Cepero) -- well, it's not actually that shocking ...
