There's some good news and some bad news on the ABC renewal front. Let's start with the good news.

The drama "Scandal" has been pick up for a second season. Show creator Shonda Rhimes broke the news on Friday (May 11) that the series, which stars Kerry Washington and Henry Ian Cusick, will be back.

"Am super proud to say that 'Scandal' has been picked for a 2nd season!!! Am doing a little dance of joy," Rhimes writes on Twitter.

And as for the bad news, it turns out that the "GCB" isn't that "good" after all. ABC has sacked the show, this according to Deadline. The program has suffered from dwindling ratings in recent weeks. While it delivered a season average of 7.25 million viewers, its most recent episode only garnered just 5.6 million fans.
