'Political Animals': Sigourney Weaver is the Secretary of State

"Political Animals" is a special television event coming from USA Network this summer, starring Sigourney Weaver as Elaine Barrish Hammond, the current Secretary of State and former First Lady of the United States.

Her husband Bud Hammond (Ciaran Hinds) is a former POTUS and her sons Doug (James Wolk) and TJ (Sebastian Stan) grew up in the White House. Elaine's mother Margaret Barrish is also a key part of the family, played by the wonderful Ellen Burstyn.

The miniseries will air in six parts starting Sunday, July 15 at 10 p.m. USA released this first-look video of the series at Thursday's (May 17) upfronts presentation in New York. We are pretty excited - it looks like a lot of fun. What do you think, viewers?
