NBC fall 2012 schedule: 'The Voice' moves to fall, 'Community' on Fridays, comedy on four nights

NBC is doing a pretty dramatic -- or maybe we should say comedic -- makeover of its lineup for the 2012-13 season.

The network will have comedies on four nights of the week, adding one-hour blocks on Tuesdays and Fridays to its traditional Thursday slate and the Wednesday block it launched this season. Additionally, "The Voice" is moving to the fall. It will stay in its two-hour spot on Monday nights and add an hour at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday throughout its run.

The Thursday comedy lineup will look pretty familiar: It's populated by returning shows "30 Rock," "Up All Night," "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation." "Community" is moving to 8:30 p.m. Fridays, where it will be paired with "Whitney." New comedies "Go On" and "The New Normal" will follow "The Voice" on Tuesdays, while "Animal Practice" and "Guys With Kids" will kick off Wednesday nights. (See NBC's full fall schedule here.)

Only two new dramas will launch in the fall: "Revolution," about a world where electricity -- and thus pretty much all present-day technology -- has ceased to work, will air at 10 p.m. Mondays following "The Voice." "Chicago Fire," a Dick Wolf-produced show about a group of firefighters in the Windy City, will air at 10 p.m. Wednesdays after Wolf's "Law & Order: SVU."

The network also has a lot of shows on tap for midseason, including most likely another cycle of "The Voice" and returning shows "The Biggest Loser," "The Celebrity Apprentice" and "Smash." Three more new dramas and three new comedies are also waiting in the wings.
