Is Michael Strahan 'Live! with Kelly's' new co-host?

Michael Strahan, the former New York Giant turned sportscaster who again sat in with Kelly Ripa on Monday's and Tuesday's (May 7-8) "Live! with Kelly" is -- according to at least one source -- the frontrunner to join her permanently.

"All bets are on Michael Strahan," a source tells Hollywood Life. "He's funny, does well on camera and gets along really fabulously with Kelly. Michael is the top name that is seriously being thrown around right now."

Ripa recently went on record to assure viewers that her husband, frequent guest host Mark Consuelos, will not be taking over for Regis Philbin, who retired in November 2011.

Other frontrunners -- culled from various sources -- include singer/songwriter Josh Groban, "America's Got Talent" judge Howie Mandel and one-time reality star Nick Lachey.
