TV ratings: 'American Idol' dips slightly Wednesday while 'Don't Trust the B----' holds up

"American Idol's" performance show Wednesday was pretty steady compared to last week, rising slightly in viewers but dropping a couple tenths of a point in adults 18-49. Even with the demographic slide, FOX still easily won the night in all measures.

ABC's "Don't Trust the B--- in Apt. 23," meanwhile, turned in a decent performance in its second week, falling only a little bit from its premiere. "Revenge" also returned to ABC with decent numbers.

FOX brought in 16.5 million viewers and a 10.0 rating/16 share in households for the night, more than doubling the viewership of second-place CBS (7.9 million, 5.0/8). ABC came in third with just over 7 million viewers and a 4.5/7. NBC (4.4 million, 2.9/5) finished fourth, and The CW trailed with 1.25 million viewers and a 0.8/1.

FOX also dominated the 18-49 demographic with a 4.7 rating. ABC was the best of the rest at 2.4, followed by CBS at 2.0. NBC posted a 1.2 and The CW a 0.5.
