'Smash': Uma Thurman tries to look the part as Marilyn Monroe in 'Bombshell'

uma-thurman-marilyn-smash-1.jpgViewers didn't get to see much of Uma Thurman in her much-hyped debut on NBC's "Smash" on Monday (April 9), but from the looks of the photos and previews from the April 16 episode, "The Movie Star," all that's about to change.

Thurman plays actress Rebecca Duvall who sweeps in to take the role of Marilyn Monroe in the newly named musical "Bombshell" away from disgraced Ivy (Megan Hilty) and just-appointed understudy Karen (Katharine McPhee). But luckily for the girls, she's only around for a five-episode arc, so Marilyn will surely fall back into their laps soon enough.

Check out the clips below of Rebecca giving the "Bombshell" team some notes on the show.

Take a look at the rest of the photos of Rebecca doing her best Marilyn, which isn't looking so hot after having seen what Ivy and Karen can do with the role.
