'Giuliana & Bill' on the breast cancer diagnosis and having to tell their families

"Giuliana & Bill" returned to the Style Network Tuesday night (April 3) for its fifth season and of course one of the big focuses was Giuliana's breast cancer diagnosis, subsequent double-mastectomy and the couple's desire to keep trying for a baby.

In the above video from the show, Giuliana recounts the day she got the news - she was all alone at the doctor's office and started "hysterically crying, like sobbing ... crazy sadness and emotion, just grief."

And in the video below, Giuliana talks about having to tell her mom  - "I just started falling apart ... and she was so, so sad. That was really hard. It was almost as hard as finding out, having to tell your mom. My dad was hysterical, he was crying."

Bill says, "As a husband, you have to be there to support her. Sometimes that's just letting her cry."
