'Celebrity Apprentice' star Dee Snider: Donald Trump didn't know who I was
Sunday (April 1) night before firing Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider on "The Celebrity Apprentice," Donald Trump told him, "You're going to be big," which sounded like a major slight to someone who's been in the industry for more than 30 years."When he finds out I'm the guy that sang, 'We're Not Gonna Take It,' he said, 'That's you?" Dee says. "He doesn't even know who I am ... and I'm like, 'Why am I on the show?'"
Trump may not have known who Dee was, but he is super-familiar with another member of the "Celebrity Apprentice" cast famous for appearing on stage wearing lots of makeup -- Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza. The Miss Universe Organization is a partnership between Trump and NBC.
Dayana has been called back into the boardroom for potential firing more than anyone else on the season thus far, yet she's still around. Dee attributes that to the fact that NBC didn't want her for the show, but Trump insisted she be on it.
"The boss is never going to be wrong," Dee says. "It speaks to boardroom politics."
Do you agree with Dee about why Dayana's still around?
