For '80s week on
"American Idol,"
Skylar Laine
took (what we thought was) a big risk in choosing Bette Midler's huge hit "Wind Beneath My Wings." Turns out Skylar has kind of been hiding her light under a bushel basket. Seriously, where has that voice been?
The judges gave her a standing ovation, with Jennifer Lopez wiping tears away. J.Lo said of the song, "You know what you just said to America with that performance, who I don't know if they knew you could sing that way - do not count me out! ... you just told them you can sing with the best of everybody who's here."
Absolutely. Well done, sweetheart. Will Skylar be getting your votes tonight, "Idol" fans?
