'X Factor': Fergie interested in judging position

Another day, another "X Factor" judge possibility. The latest pop singer to emerge as a potential candidate for the seats vacated by Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger is Fergie.

Life & Style magazine is reporting that the Black Eyed Peas singer has spoken with the singing competition about one of the openings. And it looks like she's eager to do it.

"There have been some conversations," a source tells the publication. "It's in the early stages, but Fergie's the one who approached the producers about joining the panel."

Fergie is just the latest in a seemingly never-ending list of potential candidates. Other singers rumored to be in the running include Britney Spears, LeAnn Rimes and Avril Lavigne.
