TV ratings: 'American Idol,' 'Modern Family' and 'Survivor' up
Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012"American Idol" was up this week -- good news for FOX and also an expected win for the network. Also up a bit this week were ABC's "Modern Family" and CBS' "Survivor: One World." The CW's premiere of "America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" reeled in 1.3 million viewers for The CW during the 9 p.m. hour.
FOX averaged 17 million viewers with a 10.0 rating/16 share in households. CBS was second at 11.4 million, 7.0/11, third was ABC at 8.1 million, 5.1/8, fourth NBC with 4 million, 2.8/4 and The CW at 1.4 million, 1.0/1.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX was on top with a 4.9 rating, followed by CBS (2.9) and ABC (2.9), NBC (1.2) and the CW (0.6).
