Keith Olbermann not mentioned on Eliot Spitzer's 'Viewpoint'
"Viewpoint" with Eliot Spitzer began abruptly on Friday, just hours after a Current TV press release announced the unceremonious firing of Keith Olbermann and the fact that Spitzer would occupy his timeslot. "Welcome to Current's new 8 PM show, 'Viewpoint,' where every day we will drill down into the day's top stories in search of facts," Spitzer said, seemingly unruffled by the hastily announced show. Al Gore's Current TV, however, failed to make a smooth transition -- they even included a fake Spitzer Twitter handle in their initial press release.
Spitzer dove right into politics, choosing not to mention Olbermann in his entire broadcast. Olbermann, on the other hand, wasn't quite so quiet. He took to his Twitter and made his feelings on Spitzer, Current TV, and Al Gore very clear.
Had to restore their ethics they said :) RT @KeighanC weird how they see fit to replace a pro journalist w/a guy who got busted w/a Hooker
