'Anger Management': Martin Sheen to play Charlie's dad?

If Charlie Sheen starts to step out of line while filming "Anger Management," producers won't have to look too far for ways to keep him in check. His father, actor Martin Sheen appears to be cast to play his dad.

Sheen broke the news during a March 30 interview on "Access Hollywood." He tells the program, "As the show's developed, we're discovering who my family is as I discuss them...We're going to find out this guy does have major issues with his pop and when that character does finally show up, it will be my dad."

FX reps had no additional comment on the report.

This won't be the first time that Charlie and his dad have worked together.  On "Two and a Half Men," Martin played Rose's (Melanie Lynskey) father. He also played Charlie's character's dad in the 1987 film "Wall Street."

The series premieres June 28 on FX.
