'American Idol': Erika Van Pelt's 'I Believe' has us believing in her

"American Idol" handed the women a big ol' theme week Wednesday night (March 7) with the songbook of Whitney Houston. No pressure or anything, ladies. Erika Van Pelt, who definitely does not have a Whitney-type of voice, chose "I Believe in You and Me."

We were initially a little nervous for her song choice because it's such a big ballad, but Erika took Jimmy Iovine and Mary J. Blige's advice and really made it her own. Her rich, alto tone was phenomenal and the ending was gorgeous. Goosebumps throughout, just like J.Lo said.

What did you think, "Idol" fans? Will you be keeping Erika out of the bottom? WE're a little nervous for her, since she was a Wild Card pick.
