'The River': What did you think? [POLL]

The much-hyped ABC drama "The River" debuted on Tuesday (Feb. 7). The series, from the minds behind the "Paranormal Activity" films, follows the adventures of a crew that's being taped while searching the Amazon for missing explorer/TV personality Dr. Emmet Cole (Bruce Greenwood).

The show offers all the visual styling we've come to expect from the "Paranormal" series. But this time around, it's in the jungles of the Amazon where strange animals and things that go bump in the night abound.

ABC has been looking for something to replace "Lost" since it went off the air in 2010. And with its combination of a tropical setting, mythology and an interesting premise, "The River" has all the ingredients.

But at the end of the day, it's up to the viewers to decide if the show has a future. So Zappers, what say you? Is "The River" the next "Lost" or just another wannabe?
