Taylor Swift's 'Mean' at the Grammys 2012: Same old bitter things

taylor-swift-grammy-perf-me.jpgWe love Taylor Swift. We love her multiple Grammy Award-winning anti-bullying anthem, "Mean." We love her new bangs and we love her dumb shocked face and we love every time she's rumored to be dating a new victim.

But we're really over her Awards show performances of "Mean," because they're all the same. Every time she performs this song, she ditches her glam gown (this time a stunning Zuhair Murad number that practically screamed her name) for a dowdy, near-threadbare dress, and throws her hair in a braid.

Then she jumps onstage with a guitar that looks like a banjo and her band, who are dressed as the rejects from Disney's Country Bear Jamboree, and they all do a Prairie Home Companion-inspired rendition of the song. She glares at the camera like it's the meanest bully ever, and if looks could kill, the audience at home would be done for.

We hope she switches it up soon, because the only thing missing from these performances is some guy playing a jug.

Sorry.

Was that too mean?
