Super Bowl 2012: Melanie Amaro debuts her Pepsi commercial

"X Factor" winner Melanie Amaro got to film a Pepsi commercial as part of her winner's package and the commercial in question debuted during Super Bowl XLVI. What did you think of her efforts?

First off, we think it's awesome she got to do a commercial with Elton John, even if he was playing some sort of Jabba the Hut of the Pepsi universe. We also dug her costume and the production design of the entire commercial. Just gorgeous.

We're assuming Flava Flav was down in the dungeon for being a terrible singer, which isn't exactly a cutting-edge joke, but the commercial was still pretty fun and we liked Melanie getting to show off her pipes on "Respect." That dance cover of "Respect" is also her debut single, with her debut album coming sometime later this year.
