'Parks and Recreation' first look: Meet Leslie's new nemesis
Kathryn Hahn begins a guest-starring run on "Parks and Recreation" Thursday (March 1), and from the looks of things she doesn't make the greatest first impression on Leslie (Amy Poehler).
Hahn, who starred in "Free Agents" earlier this season, plays Jennifer Barkley, a campaign strategist hired by Leslie's election opponent Bobby Newport (Paul Rudd). In the clip above -- which you're seeing first on Zap2it -- Leslie tries to give Jennifer a piece of her mind, but Jennifer cuts her off, then disarms Leslie with an offer of waffles. And we know that Leslie is powerless against the allure of waffles.
Hahn's character, co-creator Mike Schur tells us, is "kind of a city mouse who comes to the country. All of Leslie's poetic musings on the charms and graces of Pawnee will fall on very deaf ears when she tries to convince this woman how wonderful her little town is." You can definitely get a taste of that in the clip, and we're very much looking forward to watching Leslie try to combat Jennifer's attitude.
"Parks and Recreation" airs at 8:30 p.m. ET Thursday on NBC.
