As we all know, Billy Crystal was the second choice to host the 84th Academy Awards. He only joined the show after producer Brett Ratner and Eddie Murphy bowed out. And now it's time to rate his performance.

Crystal did what he's know for best - sharp, but not overly controversial, jokes and musical numbers. He even trotted out lines from "The Princess Bride" and revisited his Sammy Davis Jr. impersonation from "SNL."

The multi-time host also poked fun at the venue for the awards themselves saying, "We're here at the beautiful Chapter 11 theater," this in reference to the former Kodak Theater. The company has since pulled its name from the venue following bankruptcy problems.
