'One Tree Hill's' Sophia Bush moves on to CBS comedy 'Partners'

sophia-bush-getty-headshot.jpgWhile we're not quite ready to mourn "One Tree Hill" yet -- the finale airs April 4 on The CW -- we are looking forward to finding out what projects our favorite "OTH" stars have chosen as their next move. The first cast member to nab a role in a new pilot is series vet Sophia Bush.

Bush will kick off Brooke's shoes and step into CBS's "Partners," a half hour comedy from David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, the creators of "Will and Grace." The pilot, based on Kohan's and Mutchnick's lifelong friendship, focuses on Charlie and Louis, two bordering-on-codependent architects who have been best friends for years.

When Charlie decides to propose to his girlfriend Ali (Bush), Louis -- who is gay -- does his best to be supportive, but given the fact that thus far he's been Charlie's most successful relationship, hijinks ensue. The male leads have yet to be cast, but this bromance is sure to be beyond epic.

We're thrilled to see Bush take on another strong female role, and after the unrelenting angst of "OTH," it's good to know she'll have more opportunity to show off her considerable comedic chops.

Bush's casting was first reported by Deadline.
