'Mad Men': Jon Hamm hints at more Don and Joan in Season 5

Jon Hamm says the upcoming season of "Mad Men" will delve into a relationship that a lot of fans are interested in but hasn't received a lot of screen time yet: the one between his Don Draper and Christina Hendricks' Joan Holloway.

Don't get too excited: Hamm's comments to Radio Times at a BAFTA event in London don't read as though Don and Joan get romantically involved.

"The Don/Joan dynamic is something that we do explore, and don't take this the wrong way, but we do explore as the show goes on," Hamm tells the magazine. "They have worked together for a long time, they know one another very well and I'll leave it at that."

Considering Don ended "Mad Men's" last season engaged to Megan (Jessica Pare) and Joan learned she was pregnant, that would seem to preclude a romantic relationship anyway -- or at least make one considerably more difficult.

Season 5 of "Mad Men" premieres Sunday, March 25 on AMC.
