'Hunger Games' trailer released: Watch the Super Bowl spot now

So, apparently there's a football game on Sunday that a lot of people care about, but around these parts, we've been practically rending our garments in anticipation of the much-hyped debut of "The Hunger Games" first theatrical trailer.

"The Hunger Games" is expected to compare with such franchises as "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" in box-office appeal, and judging from this new promo spot, it won't have much trouble getting us to the theater on opening night.

If we had any doubts about Jennifer Lawrence's ability to embody heroine Katniss Everdeen, they were eradicated the moment we heard her scream, "I volunteer!" as she took the place of her younger sister in the brutal, Battle Royale-style fight to the death.
