'Gossip Girl' star: 'I was very shocked' by 100th episode cliffhanger

At the end of the 100th episode of "Gossip Girl," viewers were shocked to find perennial bad girl Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) at the helm of the gossip blog. But what was more surprising to Trachtenberg was watching a newlywed Blair (Leighton Meester) running off with Dan (Penn Badgley)."I was very shocked with the cliffhanger," she tells Us Weekly. "I knew the 100th episode would end with a bang, but definitely didn't expect that!"
She adds that filming the scene, where Georgina is seen entering the latest Upper East Side dirt into the blog, was shrouded in secrecy.
"I knew about the last scene in November, a few days before we were filming it," she says. "On the 'big secret episodes,' only the people involved in the last scene get the script pages...I was the only one in the scene!"
As for whether Georgina is really Gossip Girl or just someone with a exceptional computer hacking skills, she wouldn't say.
