'Glee': Watch the New Directions get 'Stronger' and hear more from Regionals
While we'll have to endure six straight "Glee"-less weeks after tomorrow's (Feb. 21) Regionals episode, let's not dwell on the downside. Let's consider the good things: namely, that we still have an entire brand new episode of "Glee" to watch tomorrow night!
In honor of New Directions and the Warblers facing off at Regionals in "On My Way," let's take a look at what songs the groups are covering this week.
Taking a page from Afro Blue and "The Sing Off," the New Directions combine Nicki Minaj and R. Kelly's "Fly" and "I Believe I Can Fly" for a somewhat successful mashup. We can't tell which ladies are doing their best Minaj (sounds like Naya Rivera, y/n?), though Darren Criss does get in on the rapping. (So do plenty of other New Directions members we can't pinpoint.)
Criss also makes his triumphant full-episode return with a very faithful cover of Young the Giant's "Cough Syrup."
The whole gang gets together for a Lea Michele-led version of Halestorm's "Here's to Us," while the ladies of the Troubletones don their super-cute dresses for a girl-power cover of Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)." Looks like Mr. Schue kept his promise.
The Warblers take on The Wanted's "Glad You Came," which is perfectly fine but really just makes us miss the boy band era (especially the way Sebastian says the word "time"). They also cover Lenny Kravitz's "Stand."
