TV Ratings: CBS' 'Blue Bloods' dominates Friday night
Fast national ratings for Friday, Jan. 13, 2012The combined TV prowess of Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg proved unbeatable on Friday night as CBS' "Blue Bloods" -- the crime procedural starring the duo -- handily snagged a run-away ratings win.
CBS scored an overall 10.3 million viewers and a 6.6 rating/11 share in households for the night -- not bad for a Friday evening. ABC was a distant second with 6 million viewers (3.9/7), followed by NBC (4.3 million, 2.9/5), FOX (3.3 million, 2.1/3) and The CW (1.5 million, 1.0/2).
CBS tied, though, with ABC for the adults 18-49 demographic -- both scored 1.6, topping FOX (1.4), NBC (1.2) and The CW (0.6). Friday hour by hour:
8 p.m.
CBS: "A Gifted Man" (8.7 million viewers, 5.6/9)
ABC: "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (6 million, 3.7/6)
FOX: "Kitchen Nightmares" (3.8 million, 2.4/4)
NBC: "Chuck" (3.2 million, 2.1/4)
The CW: "Nikita" (1.5 million, 1.0/2)
18-49 leader: "Kitchen Nightmares" (1.7)
9 p.m.
CBS: "CSI: NY" (10.5 million, 6.7/11)
ABC: "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (6.5 million, 4.1/7)
NBC: "Grimm" (4.6 million, 2.9/5)
FOX: "Fringe" (2.8 million, 1.8/3)
The CW: "Supernatural" (1.5 million, 1.0/2)
18-49 leader: "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "CSI: NY" (1.7 each)

CBS: "Blue Bloods" (11.9 million, 7.4/13)
ABC: "20/20" (5.6 million, 3.8/6)
