TV ratings: 'Alcatraz' dips some, 'Gossip Girl' rises on a quiet Monday

Fast national ratings for Monday, Jan. 30, 2012

FOX came away with a ratings win Monday, even though both "House" and "Alcatraz" fell a bit from their numbers last week. "Gossip Girl" was also up with its event-filled 100th episode, scoring its biggest audience since late September.

FOX drew 8.5 million viewers and a 5.0 rating/7 share in households for the night, finishing a little ahead of rerun-filled CBS (8.05 million, 5.1/8). ABC was just off the pace with 7.6 million viewers and a 5.2/8. NBC (4.6 million, 2.9/4) came in fourth, and The CW (1.4 million, 1.0/1) trailed.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX's 2.8 rating was good enough to grab the top spot over CBS, 2.3, and ABC, 2.2. NBC posted a 1.3 in the demo and The CW a 0.6.
