Michelle Obama to visit Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show'

michelle-obama-woodyallen-e-235.jpgMichelle Obama is really bulking up her TV resume lately.

On Monday night (Jan. 16) she did a guest spot on Nickelodeon's "iCarly" -- much to the delight of her daughters, Sasha and Malia -- and now NBC has announced that the First Lady will be appearing on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Obama is no stranger to Leno -- she's appeared on the show before (on Oct. 27, 2008) -- but this will be her first time as First Lady. In fact, it's her inaugural appearance as First Lady on any talk show.

She'll reportedly discuss not only her "Let's Move" campaign but also her book about the White House's kitchen garden.

Obama's "iCarly" appearance featured the first lady showing up to commend Carly, who hacked a secure network to try to connect with her deployed Colonel father, for caring for her family and friends. The episode was screened around the country for military families.
