'Mad Men' to return March 25, says Jon Hamm

Our long national waiting period is over. The return of "Mad Men" is set to return to AMC on March 25.Jon Hamm, who plays Don Draper on the award-winning series, broke the news about the start of Season 5 on the "Doug Loves Movies" podcast. By the time the show hits the air, it will have been a measly 525 days since its last original episode.
When last we saw Draper, he had just proposed to Megan (Jessica Pare), and she said yes. But who knows what the future will hold for the happy couple.
The new season of the period drama was stalled by drama of its own. Matt Weiner, the show's executive producer, was locked in contract negotiations with AMC and Lionsgate. But they worked out their problems and the show appears to be headed for a series finale after Season 7.
AMC didn't confirm the date, but they will likely announce it later this week when they present at the Television Critics Association Winter press tour.
