Kim Kardashian on 'Last Man Standing': She'll play herself, obviously

We have to admit, "Last Man Standing" has been more successful than we expected when it comes to ratings -- so we're puzzling over this particular casting move, which smells an awful lot like eau de desperation.

Kim Kardashian has been tapped to play herself on a February episode of the comedy. She's best known for her reality TV fare -- which is actually why she got this gig. When Tim Allen's character's daughter, who is obsessed with reality TV, meets the celeb, she goes totally nuts. The casting was first reported by TVLine.

We're hoping Kim will be able to poke fun at herself -- she and her sisters parodied their airhead images in a brief appearance on "How I Met Your Mother" -- but we've got a feeling she'll draw the line at Kris Humphries jokes, so... what's the point?
