'Jersey Shore': Vinny Guadagnino's exit explained by Snooki

With the fifth season of "Jersey Shore" set to kick off on Thursday (Jan. 5), the Seaside Heights habitues are making the talk show rounds.

On Tuesday, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi -- one half of Team Meatball -- sat down with Jay Leno to talk about the upcoming season of the MTV "reality" show and she confirmed that castmate (and sometimes smoosh buddy) Vinny Guadagnino does in fact exit the show before the season's end.

"Vinny left," says Polizzi. "You'll see through the season, but honestly we all get homesick sometimes, the cameras are too much, we're like 'ugh, go away.'"

Leno asks Snooki if she's ever contemplated leaving the show.

"I want to leave every day," she replies. "I just want to relax and do this, but 'Jersey Shore' is amazing. I love my roommates, I love hanging out with them."
