'Cougar Town': David Arquette helps out in the season finale

A familiar face will join the cul-de-sac crew for the season finale of "Cougar Town" -- and he's got an in with series star Courteney Cox.

Yes, we're talking about Cox's estranged husband, David Arquette. TVLine reports that he'll play a hotel concierge who goes above and beyond the call of duty in seeing to Jules (Cox) and the gang's needs.

And before you start thinking, "Boy, that'll be awkward on set," it probably won't be. By most accounts, Cox and Arquette are "estranged" only in the legal sense; they've remained close despite their separation. She and their daughter Coco attended "Dancing With the Stars" tapings last fall when Arquette competed, and Cox called him "my best friend" in an interview with People earlier this month.

Arquette and Cox are also executive producers of "Cougar Town" through their production company, Coquette. They most recently appeared on-screen together in "Scream 4."

"Cougar Town" returns to ABC on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
