Betty White to get all-star treatment at 90th birthday bash

betty-white-getty.jpgBetty White, America's cool grandmother, turns 90 on Tuesday (Jan. 17). To celebrate the big day, NBC is throwing an all-star bash for the nonagenarian.

"Betty White's 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America's Golden Girl" will feature a number of A-Listers honoring White, a multi-time Emmy winner. Some of the attendees include Ellen DeGeneres, Morgan Freeman, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan and William Shatner.

Following gala, White will kick off her new show "Betty White's Off Their Rockers." The show is essentially "Candid Camera" or "Punk'd" with seniors doing the punking.

It's been quite a ride for White recently. Her series "Hot in Cleveland" just got picked up for a fourth season. And if that wasn't enough, her role as Elka Ostrovsky earned her an Emmy nomination in 2011 and a Screen Actor Guild nomination in 2012. She also just published the book "Betty & Friends: My Life at the Zoo."

The birthday bash airs on Monday (Jan. 16) at 8 p.m. ET. "Off Their Rockers" follows, starting at 9:30 p.m. ET.
