'30 Rock' extends Alec Baldwin's deal through Season 7
In October, Alec Baldwin said in an interview that he "really want[s] to move on" from "30 Rock" after this season. He has apparently rethought that position.
Baldwin signed an extension in the fall to stay with the show through a seventh season in 2012-13, NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt told reporters Friday (Jan. 6) at the Television Critics Association press tour.
"We have Alec for this season and next season. We quietly did that in the fall," Greenblatt says.
There is, of course, still a question of whether "30 Rock" will return next season. The show's sixth season debuts Thursday, and Greenblatt says he'll wait a little while before making any kind of renewal decision.
