'The Killing' adds Mark Moses to Rosie Larsen's investigation

mark-moses-gi.jpgThere's a new detective on the Rosie Larsen case.

Mark Moses ("Mad Men," "Desperate Housewives") has joined the cast of "The Killing" in a big recurring role, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He's set to appear in at least eight episodes of the AMC show's second season.

He will play Lt. Carlson, a newcomer to the Seattle PD who joins the not-yet-closed Larsen investigation. Presumably he'll work alongside, or perhaps butt heads with, Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos), last seen sitting on a plane to California with a shocked look on her face as she realized Holder (Joel Kinnaman) had manipulated the case to frame mayoral candidate Darren Richmond (Billy Campbell).

"The Killing" will also open a new investigation in Season 2 -- and we're kind of hoping Moses' character is involved with that too. Because if it takes eight more episodes to find out who killed Rosie, fans already frustrated by last season's non-reveal could start throwing things at their televisions.

Moses is currently working on the final season of "Desperate Housewives." "The Killing" is expected to return in the spring.
