'Teen Mom' update: Catelynn & Tyler set wedding date, Amber could go to jail
All is well for some in the "Teen Mom" universe, but for others, the future is not looking good.
Original "Teen Mom" stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra, the wise-beyond-their-years couple who gave up their baby Carly for an open adoption when they were both 16, have finally set a wedding date.
Lowell tweeted Dec. 14 that she and her fiance are planning on getting hitched July 15, 2013. So, plenty of time for wedding planning (and plenty of time to find that perfect gift). No word on whether MTV will televise the nuptials, but if the "Teen Mom" franchise is still going strong by then, we don't see why they wouldn't.
Although the Child Protective Services investigation into Amber Portwood is officially over, the 21-year-old's legal troubles aren't over. According to TMZ, the mom of baby Leah has been reported by her probation officer for violating the terms of her agreement.
Portwood has reportedly failed to get her GED, complete anger management classes, pay probation fees, set up a college fund for her daughter, and "behave well in society" (she got drunk and hit someone at a restaurant in November), TMZ reports, all things she was supposed to do to avoid going to jail for abusing her ex-fiance, Gary Shirley, on-camera.
The 21-year-old is heading back to court in January, where she'll either have to explain herself or face two years behind bars.
