'Modern Family': Bobby Cannavale and Ellen Barkin booked for guest roles
The latest piece of guest casting on "Modern Family" has us thinking that Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) might have to re-assess Cam's (Eric Stonestreet) dedication to the clowning arts. The ABC comedy has booked Bobby Cannavale ("Win Win," "Will & Grace") for a guest spot as Cam's former clown partner, Louis, TVLine reports. The combination of Louis' handsomeness and Mitchell's general insecurity should make for fertile comic ground.
Cannavale, who will also appear on Showtime's "Nurse Jackie" in the coming season, is set to make his "Modern Family" appearance early next year.
Meanwhile, TVLine also reports that Phil (Ty Burrell) will be getting a new work nemesis in the form of Ellen Barkin. She'll also appear in early 2012 as an icy real-estate broker who has it out for Phil's new firm (which, as previously reported, will also include Greg Kinnear). She's set for just one episode at the moment, but the role could be extended.
What do you think of the two latest additions to the world of "Modern Family"?
