'House of Lies' trailer: Don Cheadle is a smooth (and dirty) talker
If full episodes of Showtime's new series "House of Lies" capture anywhere near the energy level and swagger of the trailer, then it will be going straight to the season pass list on our DVRs.
Because the trailer, which you can watch at the top of the post, is really pretty great. Showtime teased it to TV critics a few months ago, but it's only come online in the past couple days. It stars Don Cheadle ("Iron Man 2," "Hotel Rwanda") as Marty Kaan, a management consultant who will say and do whatever he must to make his clients happy.
The half-hour series, created by Matthew Carnahan ("Dirt"), also stars Kristen Bell ("Veronica Mars," "Scream 4"), Josh Lawson and Ben Schwartz ("Parks and Recreation") as Marty's cohorts, all of whom have their own, uh, quirks.
Showtime has censored some of Cheadle's most colorful language for consumption on YouTube, but take note: It's still pretty profane (hilariously so, if you ask us). Hit play at your own risk.
"House of Lies" premieres at 10 p.m. ET Sunday, Jan. 8 on Showtime.
