CBS wins slow Friday night with 'Frosty,' 'Blue Bloods' re-run

Frosty the snowman is a fairytale, they say. But it's also the title of one of the oldest holiday chestnuts in the animated holiday arsenal and on Friday (Dec. 9), "Frosty the Snowman" led CBS to another end-of-the-work-week ratings victory.

CBS grabbed 6.4 million viewers with a 1.4 rating/4 share in households. ABC and NBC followed with 5 million viewers each, though NBC edged ABC slightly with a 1.4 rating/4 share, while ABC made do with 1.3/4. FOX came next with 2.1 million viewers (1.4/2) and The CW drew 1.2 million (0.8/1).

The 18-49 demographic wasn't a clear-cut win for anyone. CBS and NBC tied with a 1.4 followed by ABC (1.3), FOX (0.7) and The CW (0.4).
