'America's Next Top Model' winner Lisa D'Amato: 'It's the way the cookie crumbles, it's the nature of the beast'

lisa-damato-antm.jpgLisa D'Amato, the wild child of Cycle 5, was the winner of "America's Next Top Model" all star edition. She tells Zap2it she knew in her heart she was the winner.

Obviously you're glad you came back to "Top Model." Did it just blow away your expectations?

"I definitely think that it was the perfect opportunity. It landed in the perfect pocket in my life where I couldn't be more appreciative, more prepared, more ready ... I had already been executing my brand to the fullest extent. I always thought my brand was 'fearless,' but they gave me 'daring,' which actually fits right in there."

Did you have a different idea of what the show was going to be coming in, because some of the girls have expressed they thought it was going to be different from what it really was.

"For me, branding always meant what is involved in the entertainment industry. It's hosting, it's acting, it's singing, it's dancing, it's modeling, it's being that celebrity personality. That's what branding means to me. And it is a television show, so if the other girls seem to be disappointed or mislead, I'm kind of confused as to what they thought it was going to be."

I think they just thought it was too much like a normal cycle of the show.

"We had to sing, we had to write music, we had to answer interviews with 'Extra,' we had to embrace other performers and icons in the entertainment industry, like Michael Jackson, we had to show our skills in pop culture today ... maybe the show was just made for me."

So there were some fireworks at the end of the finale last night. What did they tell you guys about Angelea?

"I don't even know what was said. I know there is a lot of speculation, all these rumors. But ultimately, if you find out, let me know."

Do you have a comment on the rumor that she actually won instead of you?

"Not to my knowledge. I know that in the end, I truly knew in my heart that I was the winner of this and we shot the final runway in Greece and then we shot the finale panel in Los Angeles and Allison and I were going toe-to-toe with first call out, best picture and challenge wins, so it's the way the cookie crumbles, it's the nature of the beast on a competition show when girls drop like flies before lunch."

So what's next for you?

"I have my TV Project, which re-introduces me all over again to the world, so 2012 is going to be - I'm going to grab it by its cojones and ride it like a crazy beast monster. I have my TV project, I have my second album, which I just finished recording and it's on iTunes right now. My second video off that, 'Whiplash,' is coming out in a couple of days. Also everyone can follow me and my crazy adventures in Hollywood on my free iPhone app called Earth to Lisa. It's super fun, it's like VIP, it gets a little crazy and way more exclusive, if you will.

2012 is also going to have a lot of touring, performing my music and I'm back in the studio with the best recording artists ever. I have so many things to unveil and I can't wait for everyone just to be excited and happy.

I also have all the projects that come along with being the 'America's Next Top Model' all star winner ... I can't wait. I really love being busy and I'm so driven. I couldn't be more thrilled."

You guys can keep up with Lisa not only through her app, but also on Twitter @lisadamato and at her website, www.lisadamato.com

"America's Next Top Model" airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.
