"The X Factor" rebounded a bit from its ratings dip opposite the CMA Awards last week, improving in both viewers and adults 18-49 and leading FOX to a demographic win Wednesday night. "Modern Family" kept its title as the night's most-watched show, although it and the rest of ABC's shows were all down from their last airings two weeks ago.

Elsewhere, CBS' lineup improved across the board over last week, and NBC's "Up All Night" ticked up in the demo.

CBS brought in 11.5 million viewers and averaged a 7.2 rating/11 share in households in primetime, narrowly beating FOX's 11.2 million viewers and 6.5/10. ABC (8.9 million, 5.6/9) came in third. NBC (6.25 million, 4.2/7) finished fourth overall, while The CW drew 1.5 million viewers and a 1.0/2.

FOX led the night in the 18-49 demographic with a 3.8 rating. ABC, 3.3, squeaked past CBS, 3.2, for second place. NBC was off the pace with a 1.5, and The CW trailed with a 0.6.
