TV ratings: 'New Girl,' 'Glee' fall in post-baseball return, CBS leads Tuesday
Fast national ratings for Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011The baseball playoff hiatus was not kind to "Glee," "New Girl" and "Raising Hope," which all returned to lower-than-usual numbers Tuesday after three weeks off. CBS led the night across the board, while NBC improved a little over last week and ABC was up a tick in viewers.
CBS scored 15.4 million viewers and a 9.7 rating/14 share in households for the night, beating second-place ABC (11 million, 7.3/11) by more than 4 million viewers. FOX (7 million, 4.2/6) came in third. NBC finished fourth with just over 6 million viewers and a 3.8/6, and The CW trailed with 1.65 million viewers and a 1.1/2.
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.2 rating, edging FOX's 3.0. ABC and NBC tied for third at 2.3. The CW posted a 0.7.
