TV ratings: 'Grey's Anatomy' up, 'The Big Bang Theory' leads Thursday

An explosive pre-hiatus episode of "Grey's Anatomy" performed well for ABC Thursday night, though the night was not kind as most shows (aside from CBS' comedy hour of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Rules of Engagement") were down.

CBS led the night in viewers despite airing repeats of both "Person of Interest" and "The Mentalist," drawing 10.9 million viewers and a 6.8 rating/11 share in households. FOX's "The X Factor" helped the network land in second (9.5 million, 5.7/9), while ABC (8.0 million, 5.4/8) landed third. NBC (4.5 million, 2.6/9) and The CW (2.7 million, 1.7/3) trailed in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Fox won the night in the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.0 rating, however, with CBS (2.8) and ABC (2.7) not far behind. NBC scored a 1.8 while The CW nabbed a 1.1.
