TV ratings: Giants-Eagles leads Sunday, American Music Awards solid for ABC

Fast national ratings for Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011

NBC claimed its usual spot atop the ratings Sunday with its NFL coverage, but the game didn't steal viewers the American Music Awards on ABC. The awards were up a little bit in viewers compared to last year's show and held steady in adults 18-49.

Thanks to "Sunday Night Football," NBC topped the night with 14.8 million viewers and a 9.2 rating/14 share in households. CBS, which also had NFL games bleed into primetime, grabbed second with 11.9 million viewers and a 7.4/11. (Because of their live sports coverage, both networks' numbers may change some.) ABC (10.1 million, 5.8/9) finished third, and FOX was pretty far off the pace with 4.6 million viewers and a 2.7/4.

NBC led the adults 18-49 demographic as well, drawing a 5.5 rating in primetime. ABC finished second with a 3.5. CBS' 2.8 was good for third, beating out FOX's 2.2.
