Megan Mullally joins 'Breaking In' as new series regular

megan-mullally-gi.jpgFOX's comedy "Breaking In" is coming back from the dead with an addition to the cast.

The sitcom, which the network canceled before striking a last-minute deal to bring back at midseason, has nabbed Megan Mullally as a new regular cast member.

Deadline reports that Mullally's character will take over Contra Security, replacing Christian Slater's Oz as the boss. Don't worry, Slater's sticking around; he'll just have his own boss to contend with.

The addition is part of sweeping creative changes taking place on the show, which also include focusing more on the office politics rather than the missions the Contra staff complete each week.

No premiere date has been set, though Deadline says the show will go back into production in January and is expected to join Fox's Tuesday comedy block.

If you worry this will mean Mullally won't be able to reprise her role on "Parks and Recreation" as the fearsome Tammy 2, don't fret -- she'll be allowed to continue her roles on shows like "Parks and Rec," "Happy Endings" and "Childrens Hospital." She won't be the only one pulling double duty, as Odette Annable will also continue to appear as a regular on "House."
