'Grimm' gets full-season pick up
Spooky crime drama "Grimm" has received a full-season pickup at NBC.The program, which follows a cop with a past tied to the famed Grimm Brothers, has offered solid ratings in its Friday at 9 p.m. ET time slot despite a mediocre lead-in from "Chuck." In the most recent ratings, "Grimm" tied with "CSI: NY" in the coveted 18-49 demo at a 1.6, and had 5.4 million overall viewers.
In a statement, NBC president Robert Greenblatt says, "This series is turning the traditional procedural drama on its head and is attracting a loyal following for us on Friday nights. We love where it's going creatively and we're excited to deliver more episodes to our audience."
The show has also been beating FOX's "Fringe," a somewhat comparable program.
In additional "Grimm" news, the show will have a special Thursday airing on Dec. 8 at 10 p.m. ET.
