A commentator with
"60 Minutes"
for over 30 years, journalist
Andy Rooney
passed away
Friday night (Nov. 4) at the age of 92. On Sunday's "60 Minutes" broadcast, the long-running CBS news program honored Andy with a video tribute to his work with the program.
CBS has also made available on their website the video of Andy's last commentary on "60 Minutes," which he gave just back on Oct. 2. In his last segment for the program, Rooney said, "Not many people in this world are as lucky as I have been ... All this time I've been paid to say what is on my mind on television. You don't get any luckier in life than that."
Whether you more often agreed or disagreed with the cumdgeonly comments Rooney offered at the end of "60 Minutes," one thing is for sure - it won't be the same without him. RIP, Andy Rooney.
