TV ratings: 'A Gifted Man' dips but CBS cruises Friday; 'Fringe,' 'Supernatural' down

a-gifted-man-review.jpgFast National ratings for Friday, Sept. 30, 2011

Pretty much all of Friday's scripted series declined some from their premieres last week, but the rankings stayed pretty much the same: CBS scored an easy victory in viewers, and no network put up very big numbers in the adults 18-49 demographic.

On the (slightly) bright side, the declines weren't really more than you'd expect. CBS' new drama "A Gifted Man," "Fringe" and "Supernatural" were all down in the 10-15 percent range in viewers and a couple of tenths in the demo.

CBS averaged 9.75 million viewers and a 6.4 rating/11 share in households for the night, finishing well ahead of second-place NBC (5.1 million, 3.4/6). ABC took third with 3.9 million viewers and a 2.7/5. FOX (3.6 million, 2.3/4) came in fourth. The CW drew 1.8 million viewers and a 1.2/2.

CBS also led among adults 18-49, albeit with just a 1.5 rating. FOX was right behind with a 1.4, followed by NBC, 1.3, and ABC, 1.1. The CW trailed with a 0.7.
